CycleThe Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association, Long Island's largest cycling club, invites you to join us on a variety of rides and events. Organized in 1977, we are a club made up of all ages and cycling abilities. Active members enjoy riding together year round in a relaxed and friendly group atmosphere. Our rides range from short, easy trips for beginners, to moderately-paced tours with snack breaks, to fast, challenging rides for the more competitive minded. Volunteer club members organize group rides, leaving from various locations throughout Mid-Suffolk and the East End. Their routes provide us a wonderful variety of places to tour and explore.

SBRA promotes cycling of all abilities for health, fitness and fun. Ride Bikes with S.B.R.A.

The legislator Braaga issue - Please read

Hello Fellow SBRA Members:

As we are all too well aware legislator Braaga made some comments about cycling (among other methods of transportation) that we all took offense to. I understand the anger and the want to retaliate against him that his comments have fostered. But I am asking that everyone take a step back and look at the big picture. We have a wonderful opportunity in front of us.

Closer than Ever Before: Make Streets Safe for Everyone!

Just about every one of us has been out biking for transportation or recreation - and encountered an unsafe street, intersection or bridge. Most of us have have friends and family members who want to get out and ride but can't find a convenient route that feels comfortable and accessible.

That's why we need Complete Streets that are designed for everyone - including people who walk, bike or take public transit - right from the start.
