CycleThe Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association, Long Island's largest cycling club, invites you to join us on a variety of rides and events. Organized in 1977, we are a club made up of all ages and cycling abilities. Active members enjoy riding together year round in a relaxed and friendly group atmosphere. Our rides range from short, easy trips for beginners, to moderately-paced tours with snack breaks, to fast, challenging rides for the more competitive minded. Volunteer club members organize group rides, leaving from various locations throughout Mid-Suffolk and the East End. Their routes provide us a wonderful variety of places to tour and explore.

SBRA promotes cycling of all abilities for health, fitness and fun. Ride Bikes with S.B.R.A.

Attention: All Bike Riders

Tell your local, elected, government officials to:
STOP their ongoing cycles of delay and postponement, and
START building the approved Bike Path they promised.
Make your voice get heard! It’s your right.

SBRA sponsors the 23rd Annual Second Site Bike-A-Thon to benefit both the Guide Dog Foundation for the blind® and America's VetDogs®. The foundation raises, trains, and furnishes guide dogs, free of charge, to people who are visually impaired or have other special needs, that seek the independence, mobility, and companionship a guide dog provides.

Leaving from the Guide Dog Foundation campus, 371 East Jericho Turnpike Smithtown, NY, rides range from a 5 mile fun ride to a challenging 65 miles. Depending on the length of the route, riders will tour St. James, Head of the Harbor, Stony Brook, Old Field, Port Jefferson, Belle Terre, and points east.

The 5, 10, 20 and 30 mile tours are escorted by volunteer marshals from SBRA. The 50 and 65 mile tours are unescorted. Riders are provided with cue sheets, and roads are marked along the route.

FREE Bicycle Check-up for registered riders (click here for more details).
