Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

Maybe we'll get to ride at the start of some light snow ... a beautiful hush in the woods if the range is quiet! BSP has a good single track for Begineers and those Intermediate riders that do not want to deal with technical challenges. With the strong winds we have had there may be some clearing work to be done as we ride. Think of this as a Mtn Bike recovery day after working out at Cathedral Pines on Friday. We'll not be pushing the pace and do waitups at the fire road crossings. No one gets left behind in the woods!

We'll head north to the high school parking area and then swing around going down to AND across Rt 25.

No need to arrive 20 minutes early and cook in the car or freeze outside ... Please just be ready to ride at the posted start time! Running late? Call my cell # below and we'll wait a bit.

Check back to this posting a Life Happens and Things Change!

Due to being only 24 degrees at ride start and feels like 20, is just too cold to ride. It is a bit to cold for me. Sorry.

Let's try to get this ride in before the blizzard of 2020. As of now Sam Champion and Rich Hoffman are predicting the snow to start in the afternoon. We can try to get this ride in if the temperature is at least 30 at start time, and the winds aren't too much over 10. We will hopefully be riding to Manorville weather permitting at a winter B- pace. We will of course have breakfast at McDonalds in Manorville. Please check back to website on day of ride for cancellation. If necessary I will cancel no later than 8am. If any questions please do not hesitate to give me a call.

Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

I changed this to an earlier time because of the bad weather coming later in the day.  This first class will be approximately 2 hours and all indoors. If you were thinking about coming to this class this would be a great day for it! If you think you know everything about group you should come to the class. Every little tip can help with your riding skills.  No need to bring your bike. Please RSVP to let me know if you are coming so I can get a head count.  Thanks, Richard.

Group Riding Class – This class is for any level rider interested in learning important riding tips geared towards safety, basic group riding techniques, and etiquette. You don't have to be a high level rider to learn these techniques. The object of the class is to get all of the riders in a group to be on the same page. The class will be held at the Brookhaven Bicycle Co-Op in the Flower Fields Complex.(8 Flowerfields Unit 18) It will be a combination of CLASSROOM and road riding. Please RSVP me at [bikedoc@optonline.net] to let me know if you are going to attend. For the second class we will make a group decision on the next date. Please be aware we will be starting out with a CLASSROOM session.  This will also be an open forum for any questions etc. The ride was purposely posted in the mid afternoon so it does not interfere with any ride you would normally do in the morning.  The mileage will be low however,  please come prepared to ride short distances to apply what was taught in the classroom. If there are any questions before that day please email me using the above email address.

Sincerely,

Richard Dittmar
