NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

I'll be leading this ride again for Jeremy. Same route, same pace, same waitups; listed as A+ because turnout and rider fitness has been great and thats the adverage we've been comming in at. Regroup after Ponquogue Bridge @ Shinnecock Rd, bakery & bathroom break in Southampton, regroup after Red Creek, regroup after the golf course @ 51. Please download the route if possible. This is a fun ride, hope to see you there.
I'm looking to maintain a steady 20 to 23 mph cruising speed on the flats. Anyone wishing to ride a tad faster, Jeremy has a great ride out of Kreb Eastport--Dan Rostrup to lead this week. We are trying to provide a little something for everyone: North Shore, South Shore, Fast, and Faster. So take a pick and enjoy!
SORRY, BUT THE RIDE HAS THE MAXIMUM NUMBER THAT I WANT ON THIS RIDE.
Join me for this ride from Yaphank to Nettie's, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights! The route will be determined the moring of the ride, so no cue sheets.
While some ride leaders post a B- ride but come in with averages of 15.5 - 16.2 (which are B or B+ ride averages), this will be a TRUE B- ride, that will average 14 - 14.8, depending on the winds, the riders, etc. So, if you are looking to do a B- ride, this ride will be what it is posted. Contact me about joining this ride - see notes below.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: I am limiting the number of riders on my rides, so you MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Our usual Route to Manorville. Please note that you should park by Friendlys. Last week a catalytic converter was stolen from one of our members truck while we were out riding. Parking by Friendly's is more crowded and i would think someone would be less inclinded to do something. Please text me to let me know you are coming. 631-747-3464
We'll be heading out to Briermere Farms, rolling through the Pine Barrens and out to the North Fork. Hopefully we'll avoid being gouged or gored by Barney the missing bull...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZJaCqrxCT4 {Good song to play loud and wake the house up! :) }.
We'll take the north route out to Briermere and return along the south route by the river. We'll have a fuel stop at Briermere - we love the scones.
As always, we'll be riding in a paceline, working together.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Bellport and returning to East Islip for a 36 mile ride. Our food/restroom break will be around mile 20 in Bellport. The ride will be at a (B - pace) with an average speed of around 15 mphand road speeds that will reach 16 to 19 mph.
If you have any questions text or call Mike 516 448-8545. Changes or cancelation will be posted by 7:30am day of ride.
We are heading to Netties (primary route) or Smith Point, largely depends on the wind at an 11-12.5 pace for 22-26 miles. Either way there will be a food and bathroom stop. Check back here for any changes which will be before 8:00am. As always newbies well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Also bring water and a snack as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition.
This will be a slow C+ because of the heat and humidity! Come out and join me for this ride from Maples in Manorville to Netties Bakery, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights! No one left behind ever. Questions call or text cell phone 631-484-1650
