Kreb Cycle in Eastport is now open and its awesome! Come check it out! We will start this Saturday ride at the shop at 8am. It is an A ride, which is a 52 mile loop down Dune road, with one brief stop in Southampton at Ye Olde Bake Shoppe (cash only), then back to Eastport via Red Creek, Pleasure drive, 51. Our average speed has been coming in between 21.5-22.5mph.
With the present weather pattern, we are going to start at 8:00 AM, to get ahead of the weather! If the bones come our way we'll head to Briermere Farms, if we lose and the weather looks bad, we'll cut the ride short.
CHECK the morning of the ride for possible rain cancellation!
Fingers-crossed that the morning weather window stays open. (Anyone have some loaded dice?).
Join me for this C+/B- ride, which will average 13.2 - 13.9. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride destination will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will head to Blue Point, loop around Corey Beach, and stop at the Atlantic Ave. Deli for our break, and there will be a bathroom stop.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

Through Manorville and Center Moriches before arriving at Netties around mile 23. Netties has great seating and snacks plus bathrooms.
The speed will probably be at the high end of a B-, maybe even going over into a B speed. No one dropped, we are out to have fun. Max 12 riders.
Please text me if you want to come on this ride 631 331 5642 (if you would rather email it is Susan.m.sears@gmail.com) I need your name, SBRA #, cell and emergency contact #. Thanks!
We are heading to Netties (primary route) or Smith Point, largely depends on the wind at an 11.5-13 pace for 22-26 miles. Either way there will be a food and bathroom stop. Check back here for any changes which will be before 8:00am. As always newbies well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Also bring water and a snack as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition.
We will be doing a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.9 and 15.0 mph. +/- depending on the wind, road conditions, geese, ducks, squirrels, and rabbits. Road speed will be between 15 & 17 mph. We might end up with an extra mile or two, but that's it. Pulling is always appreciated. There will be a short break-a-way along Dune Road; we will not be going to the big bridge. Around mile 25/27 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start.
The average pace for the ride will be between 14.9 to 15.0 mph +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, rider ability, tailwinds, downhills, break-a-ways and other conditions. All of these conditions could change the final average one way or the other. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17 mph.) to produce the average.
Any cancellation due to weather, or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 0715 if necessary. If you have question about the ride just text me at 631.484.3490. Eventually my phone and I will meet in a reasonable amount of time...
