NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This is the classic firehouse 44 route with an extention to include 51 & 111 for a total of 54 miles. This should be a steady and disciplined ride to increase endurance. We'll try to stick to one minuite pulls. Feel free to download the route posted below.
When the ride is officially over you could come back to the restaurant for some excellent Columbian food if you want. There will be several varieties of cold drinks; Cadillac Sangria, also Margarita Sangria and others. One thing I might mention, it's NOT FREE so bring some US Dollars with you. There will also be music for your enjoyment. So, come on, let's have another fun filled day with your friends. Non riders are also welcome.
The average pace for the ride will be between 11-12 mph, +/- depending on the roads, wind direction, and other conditions.

Leaving from Mi Tierrita Restaurant in Patchogue and heading to Smith Point. Pace will be "B" level to help fill the gap between groups. There will be sections where riders and stretch their legs if they choose but there will be wait-ups to keep the group together. No one gets dropped.
After the ride we will meet up with the other groups at the restaurant for some good food, fun and drink.
My ride will be a "B-" ride!!.. Other ride leaders are welcome to join in,and lead a group at a different pace. Well, it's Cinco de Mayo, There is going to be good tasting real Columbian food. The ride will start from the Mi Tierrita restaurant and goto Smith's Point. The first bathroom break will be around mile 10, the next one at the beach if you want.

We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 23 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:00pm day of ride.
