NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

To Smith's Point or Patchogue, depending on wind direction and force. For this ride the Average speed is 11.5-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 18-23 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 9:00am. No need to text me.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.

Unfortunately,  I just found out I was exposed to covid Saturday night. So to be cautious and not expose anyone else, just in case, I am cancelling the ride for now. 

Come join us for a winter excursion, as we ride from the Moriches up to Calverton, through Manorville, out to the edge of Yaphank, down to Shirley and back to the Moriches.  Midway through the ride, we will stop for a scenic break at the Peconic River Herb Farm with the opportunity to take a break for a quick snack.   the farm is closed for the winter, so there won't be any services available during our break.  Please bring  a sandwich or snacks for our break along with hydration and an upbeat inquisitive attitude, ready to explore.  

We meet in the parking lot by the Wendy's in Moriches on Montauk Highway.
