NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Come out and join me for this ride from Bellport to the Beach. We will make a bathroom stop at Wertheim, then a quick stop at 7-11 for any snacks or beverages on our way to the beach. 

This is now a C+/B- ride, which will average 12.8 - 13.5, depending on the wind and the riders, and there will be cue sheets. I am changing the route on the way back to Bellport and it should add about 4-5 miles, giving us 29-30.

It will be a 99% Full Moon before the rain comes on Tuesday! A nice evening in the woods which is forecast to be in the mid 50's. We'll adjust the ride for who ever shows and probably won't do the whole thing as the season is still early. The woods at night are a different experience ... some guys really fly regardless but I'd rather ride safe and watch for the green eyes of the deer.

Two sets of lights work best ... one for the handle bar and one for the helmet. If you don't have lights give Richard a call ... not sure if he's available to ride but he may have an extra set to lend you.

Manorville is definitely not too technical but a lot of strength work ... if you start with me and you're stronger I will have no problem letting you go to catch up to John's group. It's tough to get lost in Manorville Hills as the trail is pretty well marked and there are intersecting fire roads ...

BSP has a good single track for Begineers and Intermediate riders but will not bore most Advance riders. With the strong winds we have had there may be some clearing work to be done as we ride. First time here this season so we'll not be pushing the pace and do waitups at the fire road crossings. No one gets left behind in the woods!

We'll head north from the parking lot entrance and swing around to the south upto Rt25.

No need to arrive 20 minutes early and cook in the car or freeze outside ... Please just be ready to ride at the posted start time! Running late? Call my cell # below and we'll wait a bit.

We'll limit the BDs but include the long half pipe and the climb up to and along the old RR tracks. Will try to save enough energy to do #13 loop. The pace will be slow but the technical aspect of riding planned for this venue is Intermediate to Advanced.
