    * THE 66 MILE RIDE IS ON!!*
    No time to make a Training Ride this coming weekend, so I'm leading one this Friday morning. My plan is to ride INTO the wind as much as possible on the first half ... and get the boost on the way back home. Think of it as a tail wind to Montauk and the train ride home.To accomplish this, even the RIDE START MAY CHANGE! This will be a strong B to moderate B+ pace (at most). Check back to this posting for more details and especially on the morning of the ride as there is currently a 25% chance of r--n.
    IF necessary, future changes will be located below and indicated with an '*'

    * As of 5:30 Thursday, Sorry about the indecision but it's driven by the forecast *
    Check back tomorrow after 7:15 AM for final decision:
    1. if it's raining the ride will be cancelled;
    2. if forecast is for possible showers in PJS <30% then the ride will be into the wind and ~66 miles
    3. if forecast is > 30% then I will be doing my Pumping Iron Ride which will be decribed below ...

    Pumping Iron Ride:
    This ride is a workout! ... Using gmaps (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=5462216) I came up with ~3100 feet of climbing. It ain't the Grand Frondo and it wasn't enough to train for riding in the mountains of France but its has its ups & downs, ditto, ditto, ditto, (you get the idea). We'll do the 30 miles all within 5 miles of Port Jefferson. The B+ is more of a difficulty rating rather then the pace at the end of the ride. If we end up doing near 14+ mph average then we should be feel good about how we rode the hills. Check out the cue sheet at http://www.sbraweb.org/sites/default/files/MtSinai-Pumping-Iron-30mi.pdf.
