Ride looks like a go for 10am, rain has completely stopped. Hopefully roads will be dry to semi dry.

Iguess it not beach weather, I am delaying the ride to 10 for hopefully better conditions. At 7:15 am it is still a light drizzle out east. According to News 12 it should be moving east and out of here by 9am and give an hour for the roads to dry. Since it is not a sunny beautiful day we will not go beach, instead we will do the manorville ride to Mcdonalds. Hope to see you at 10am. please check back by 9am for any further news.

If the weather is nice we will venture down to Smithspoint beach stop at the Deli behind the 7/11 on William Floyd for those of us that require a snack then we will proceed down to the beach for our break. On the way back we will tour through upper Mastic and eventually circle around to Titmus up and to Victory and back home to Sunshine this should bring us to about 33-34 miles. 

Not to disappoint but if it is windy, or the weather doesn't look good we will change course and head to Manorville McDonalds instead. I always like going to the beach on nice days not cloudy over cast days. Either way it is always a good day for a bike ride. 

The ride hopefully should average 15 mph, which of course everyone knows if you want to average 15 you sometimes will need to go 16-17 on the flats and 11-12 on the uphill terrain. I won't drop anyone because I have hired an experience sweep for this ride. I can't believe she is charging me to sweep. lol.
