To All Club Members,

This is a jointly composed letter from Bobby Ploetz, Christine Ploetz, and Mike Adams. We are the SBRA nominating committee for this year. It is our function to reach out to all club members who would like to run for any of the current positions on the Executive Board; all positions are available. This year we may have many SBRA officer positions that need to be filled since some officers are stepping down due to other obligations. If you have any questions about the duties and responsibilities of any officer, or director position please check out the web address below to read the SBRA constitution and by-laws, which describes the responsibilities of those positions. If there is a position you would be interested in and would like additional information just contact us (our email addresses are provided below).

Please consider taking on a position as an officer or director of SBRA as all positions are open; the slate will be presented to the membership at the October Meeting and the vote will take place at the November meeting. If many of these positions are not filled, it is our opinion that several functions of the club will no longer be viable, such as the BBB, Montauk Century and Halloween Party, just to name a few. This is your club, it will only continue to grow with the work of volunteers; we need you.

In closing, if you would like to change some of the rules, or are unhappy with the way the club is being run, this is your opportunity to “step up to the plate,” serve the club, and have a voice in its decision making, and policies. Should you decide you would like to run for a position, please email one of us, Bobby (bob2811@verizon.net) Christine (chriscats281@gmail.com) or Mike (michaeljadams1@gmail.com) in order to put your name on the ballot.
