The following information was sent in by a concerned SBRA member:

First, the Cupsogue (Jessup Lane) bridge is under construction and closed. Detour goes through Main Street in Westhampton Beach (past Beach Bakery). I think the summer season starts a little earlier each year because the area was pretty busy today. At Seafield Rehab Center (just east of post office) go south to take the next bridge to Dune Road.

Second, Montauk Highway from the Moriches-Center Moriches border through East Moriches is under construction. Wheelchair ramps are being added to all sidewalks at intersections. Also sections of the eastbound shoulder in East Moriches was being removed today (5-4-18). Don't know what is being done (no sidewalks). Maybe just redoing the shoulder which was in bad shape and several inches lower than the road.

The roads this time of year are always full of pot holes and sand.
It is good to be extra cautious. Be safe out there!
