Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

This is a hilly training ride of the iconic Bear Mountain. IT IS NOT A RACE!! The route follows the same as to the GFNY but with a start/finish at the Rockland Lake State Park. It starts with a 4 mile warm up at 18/20mph then a couple of hills similar to the Wednesday ride. Bear Mountain starts at mile 19. It's 1250 ft of climbing and 4.5 miles long. Regroup and rest stop at the top. After the descent there is a 20 mile strech of rolling hills. One of them of about 510ft ( Check out the route for details on all 8 climbs). There will be another rest stop at mile 42. ( Regroups in between is needed).Last 20 miles is more descent fewer/smaller hills and cool down to get back to the park.

With the right approach, this ride will help those doing the TOH and Bicycling Fall Classic.

Parking Field #1: going north bound on Rte 9W make a righ turn on Lake Rd and turn left onto Rockland Lake Rd north. Parking Field will be on the right.

DD and other places for coffee available in the area. If you decide to come I would appreciate you let me know. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Change: Starting now at 9:00am and adding directions for parking field #1
