Norm's Calverton Trail Report: The heavy rain stopped during the prior early evening and the humidity stayed high but Calverton did not disappoint. This is one of the better drying trails on LI. The oak leaves and pine needles cover at least 80% of the trail and protect the track beneath them. The wet mat of leaves and needles made for relatively slow going but it was enjoyable with the sun through the trees.
