This will be the last 2023 Century Training Ride for The Thunderbird Orient Century !

This week, we taper-off the miles, to recover for the upcoming century!

Sorry folks, but the weekend weather doesn't look good for riding any long distances. I'm trying to get in this final training ride, so I'm forced to run it on Friday - instead of Saturday or Sunday.

Get on the last train: https://youtu.be/r_DMNJRl5TE  Next week brings the Orient Express!

The plan is for us to ride in a controlled paceline, riding at a pace to keep the group together. That means not jacking-up the pace when you get to the front of the paceline, and downshifting on rises to keep the pace even to keep the paceline together!

This week's route takes us through Riverhead and out along Peconic Bay Blvd to Mattituck. We'll have a rest/food stop in Mattituck, and then it's the spin back home along the same route.   On the way back, we may have a possible last stop to stretch near Riverhead.

We'll have S.A.G. support for this ride, in case we have a flat or someone needs help making it back home!

    Allons-y!

    How was that video Chip?
