Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

Scenic north shore ride with a good mix of flat roads and hills. There's only a couple short steep climbs, the other hills are longer and gradual. No where near the difficulty of Norm's "Pumping Iron" ride, but you'll go home feeling satisfied.

The ride is actually two loops. The first is a 20 mile loop from Kings Park to Northport, then a snack/rest room break at Kings Park Bakery (3 blocks from ride start location). The second part of the ride is a 15 mile loop to Smithtown (includes a nice 2 mile downhill to soar like birds).

This ride is usually a small group with a wide range of abilities. If you're a strong B rider looking to try something different, here's your chance. Faster riders attack the hills and wait up top as slower guys like me eventually get there. We may ride parts as a loose group, but there will be as many wait-ups as necessary to keep us all together. The final average for the last two rides has been in the 15-16's.
