Details (RL read field instructions carefully):

Due to the forecast of rain for Sunday this ride is being moved up to Saturday. Note the earlier start time as well. We will be leaving 15 minutes ahead of Tricia's ride to put some space between the 2 groups at the rest stops. Please, B- riders only. Between Tricia's group and my group we will already be expecting close to 40 riders. I will be happy to email a cue sheet to any B level ride leader who wishes to lead a B group. The route for this week will be Holtsville to Quogue, similar to last week but with an extra loop to Quogue and Dune Rd added. There will be a bathroom stop at mile 14 and a food/rest stop around mile 32. If necessary we can also have a bathroom break at Southaven Park on the way back. Average pace will be somewhere between 13.1 and 14.5, slightly outside the B- range at the upper limit, cruising speed on the flats will be higher. At this point in the training cycle only riders who are planning to do the century in May should attempt this ride. While it is a structured ride we can't be regrouping every 2-3 miles so anyone falling way behind the pace of the group may be asked to find an alternate means back to the ride start. Cancellation for any reason will be posted on the Ride Calendar no later than 7:00AM on Saturday.
