Friday 7:30 pm-SORRY but I am canceling this ride in order to go help my sister in Amityville who had major flooding of her home (she moved in one week prior to the storm!)

Friday 2pm-so far this ride is still on. i wanted to drive the route today to check for safety issues but don't want to waste the gas. If anyone lives near/on these roads can you let me know if they are safe for us: Head of the Neck, Chapman, South, North, Wading River R, Wading River Manor Rd, Mill Rd, Halsey Manor, Ryerson, Hot Water, Eastport Lane. (this is the route from Eastport to Manorville). Please respond to this post or e mail me direct at Triciasp "at" optonline.net. I realize my far away friends will not drive out but maybe there are some local people who wish to ride (?).

Will there be any fall foliage left on the trees after Superstorm Sandy? Let's find out. Short ride to Manorville with rest stop at McD's/bagel store/7-11.
