    33rd Annual Bike Boat Bike

    **NEW START Location and all NEW ROUTES**

    SBRA invites you to cycle Long Island's East End. Tour through the woodlands, fields, and shoreline of the North and South Forks. Take the ferry to Shelter Island. Cycle through the scenic coves and byways of beautiful Shelter Island. Ride with friends, family or join a group and make new friends. Whether your preference is social, scenic viewing, or fast recreational cycling, we are sure you will enjoy the tour.

    Bike Boat Bike has flat to gently rolling terrain with some hills on Shelter Island and to Orient Point.
    Routes are 25, 50, 68, 106 and 125 miles with Rest Stops.
    25 miles: Easy Flat/North Fork/Horton Point Lighthouse (view map)
    58 miles: North Fork/either Orient Point (view map) or Shelter Island*(view map)/Horton Point Lighthouse
    68 miles: North Fork/either Orient Point (view map) or Shelter Island*(view map)/Horton Point Lighthouse
    100 miles: North & South Forks/Shelter Island*/Orient Point/Horton Point Lighthouse (view map)
    125 miles: North & South Forks/Shelter Island*/Orient Point/Horton Point Lighthouse (view map)
    *Registration does not include ferry fare. 

    All Rides are non-escorted rides.
    There will be maps, cue sheets, registration bracelets and clearly marked roads.
    Rest stops along each route provide food and refreshments.
    SAG support vehicles will assist BRACELETED REGISTERED RIDERS until 5:30 pm.

    T-SHIRTS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE FOR DAY OF REGISTRATION.

    NEW 2013:  (New Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds Start Location) 
    ALL NEW ROUTES!!! New destinations - Orient Point, Horton Point Lighthouse, Wades Beach (Shelter Island). The 25-mile route visits Horton Point Lighthouse. Multiple 50 and 65-mile routes cover the North Fork and either Orient Point or Shelter Island. The 100 and 125-mile routes cover the North Fork, South Fork, Shelter Island and Orient Point.
    Better support. Better road markings. No confusion on multiple-route turns. We have added knowledgeable volunteers to assist with directions at each water stop. More SAG vehicles to assist riders along the route. More goodies at every water stop.
     

    Parking:
    The main parking area and location for day-of-event registration will be Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds.
    Additional parking will be available at Mattituck High School, 15125 Main Rd., Mattituck NY 11952

    Time Starts:
    Riders on the 100 and 125 mile routes can start at 7:00 AM.
    All others should start no earlier than 7:30 AM.
    Orient Point State Park does not open until 9:00 AM so the rest stop won't be operating until 9:30 AM.
    Food and toilet facilities will not be available to riders arriving at the Orient Point rest stop prior to 9:30 AM.

    URGENT UPDATE:  **Town of Southold new policy**
    The town of Southold has informed us that they are limiting the number of people that will be allowed to participate in group activities like the Bike Boat Bike in their township. Due to this new policy we are NOT going to be able to have Day Of Registration. Please register online if you would like to ride the Bike Boat Bike. Online registration ends May 20th at 9:00pm

    $40 For first 500 registrants
    $50 For second 500 registrants
    $60 For next 500 registrants
    (All plus active.com fee)
    Children under 12 are half-price but MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
    Registration fees are not refundable. Registration fee does not include ferry fares.

    Check-In Not Required for Pre-Registered Riders:
    Pre-registered riders will receive all materials (bracelet, t-shirt, cue sheets and instructions) in the mail prior to the event.
    NOTE: Lost t-shirts and bracelets will NOT be replaced.
    You will need to show your bracelet to access the parking area.
    When you arrive at the parking area you can simply get on your bike and go.

    Mailing of Registration Materials to Pre-Registered Riders:
    Registration materials will be mailed no later than 10 days prior to the event.
    SBRA is NOT responsible for incorrect addresses or zip codes entered on the registration form that may delay delivery. If your registration materials are returned to us you must pick them up at the registration table at Strawberry Fields Fairgrounds on the day of the event.

    All riders must fill out and sign a registration/release form.
    Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
    All riders must wear an approved helmet, ANSI or SNELL (CPSC - Consumer Product Safety Commission).
    Cycling safety and strict adherence to all state cycling laws and rules of the road are imperative.
    We suggest you carry identification and any pertinent medical information with you at all times.
    Bicycles should be in good working order.
