Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Off to Wildwood State Park, with a deli stop just before the park if you want to pick up a snack to bring to the park. Wildwood has real bathrooms, and plenty of picnic tables for social distancing. Check the ride calendar the day nof the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:45am.
We will likely do 2 loops around the Bike path and stop near the end at the Bean and Bagel. I hear a sunflower flagel calling my name! I am hoping the wind will take a break! Contact me with questions or your intent to come. Any changes will be posted by 7 am.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Sayville and returning to East Islip for a 23 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 1:00pm day of ride.
If you are planning on riding please text/RSVP your name, ID #, and EMG contact # to Mike at 516 448-8545.
Please text me in advance if you want to come on this ride - 631 331 5642 - I need to know your name, SBRA#, emerg phone # so I can pre-fill the ride sheet.
The ride is posted as a C+/B- because of the hills, but we will be faster on the flatter sections, the speed will vary from very slow (up hill) to very fast (down hill) and there will be wait-ups (for me), after the more challenging hills. Good news is that the first and last part of the ride now has no pot-holes!!!
We will be visiting Strongs Neck, Old Field and West Meadow beach, there is a portapotty at West Meadow, bring your own snacks. After the ride there is the option of Green Cactus for sustenance.
Tom is out of commission due to his knee replacement , so I am posting these evening rides for those who want/need them. So, join me for this evening ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.0 - 12.8. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. There should be plenty of daylight for the ride, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time. PARK on the North side of the train station East of Main Terminal.
