NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Off to Briermere's to share a pie, or get individual servings of baked treats. We make a brief stop on the way if the Bison are in a field near the road (they were last week). If there are enough riders to share a pie, and you want to join in, bring $ in small bills. Briermere's has outdoor seating on a variety of large rocks, picnic tables were not out last week. Bathrooms and hot drinks are available. To join this ride, just show up, don't text, my phone is currently not working. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.
We will meet at the parking lot (park) across the street from the Yaphank fire house. This ride is a combo ride of Susan, and Bernie’s route to Manorville Mc Donald’s. Depending on the wind which has been horrendous of late hopefully we should average around 15. Assistance in taking turns pulling is greatly appreciated.
Another easy, short, and flat ride around Center Moriches. We will average 11.0 - 11.5, and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Exact route will be determined as we go along, so no cue sheet.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: I am limiting the number of riders, so youMUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Join me for this scenic D ride, cruising speed will be 6-10 depending on the group. No one gets dropped.

We will meander along the Heckscher Park bike path where we will wind our way along the Great South Bay. Then travel some quiet back roads of East Islip and stop at the beach for a snack, depending on the weather. Then return to Heckscher Park where there will be a bathroom break.
Please bring water, spare tube, and a snack if you wish.
Please always check back here for any changes before leaving for the ride
