NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Easy ride to Westhampton beach. Meet at Manorville, King Kullen-LIE exit 70. Make a right at the light
(South) and go appx. one half mile. Park behind McDonalds in main parking lot. We will stop in Westhampton for a bathroom stop, and snacks at a coffee house or restaurant. Beach Bakery might be closed for Passover. Bill Gravitz, cell number for day of ride is 631-356-3036.
We are going to shoot for Ronkonkoma since this seems to be the favorite route, but the wind must cooperate. All rides will be around 15 miles I have put together several routes; choosing one in the morning which hopefully will put the wind at our backs during the return trip. We will stop for coffee and a bathroom about half way. The average pace for the ride will be between 13.9 and 14.4 mph. The road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average. No one will be dropped. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 8:00 AM if necessary. My cell number is 631.484.3490; call anytime if you have questions.
Nice evening, mostly flat, 16 mile, B- ride in and around Calverton. The ride start location, Veterans Memorial Park, is new. It's located on Route 25, 3.5 miles east of the William Floyd Parkway on the right side after the baseball fields and before the National Cemetery. The average pace for the ride will be between 13.5 to 14.5 mph. Cruising speed at times will be higher to produce the average. The ride's average for me is determined by wind speed and the ability of those that show up. There will be a short rest stop around mile 7. No one will be dropped. Please check the ride calendar for last minute changes or cancellations which will be posted no later than 4:30 PM if necessary. My cell number is (631) 804-0751.
This will be my first night ride at Glacier this year ... Depending on the group that shows the list of expected BDs may be modified. I plan an easy night ride. NO ONE GETS DROPPED in the woods at night. Wait-ups at each diamond.I figure to do CR83 (N &S), Sidewinder, Hunter's Trail, Dark Side of the Moon and White Ghost ... maybe we'll get lucky again and see the eight glowing green eyes at the entrance to White Ghost trail . We'll be starting just about sunset, so lights are a necessity ... if you have a bar light AND a helmet light you will have no problems. Think good weather but check back here a day or two in advance and ON THE DAY OF THE RIDE to verify there are no changes. Dependent on the weather I may even shift the day/time of the ride to the following evening. Here's a link to CLIMB's map: http://www.climbonline.org/pdf/glacier_ridge_west-east_8x11_05-01-08.pdf ... Make a copy and be prepared!
