NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

The "Swiezy / Pope" Montauk Railroad Century continues. Join SBRA for Long Island's premier 100 mile ride. The ride starts at the Babylon train station. Riders receive snacks and a comfortable ride back from Montauk on the LIRR (if registered with the train ticket option). Bicycles are individually padded by our experienced club members and returned to Babylon by moving van.

NEW THIS YEAR ... there will be an option for riding a Metric Century.

Registration is by check only and must be accompanied by a signed Entry Form.
To participate you MUST BE A CURRENT SBRA Member  by MARCH 18, 2014 (no exceptions).

UPDATE 5/10/2014 - 7:15AM DELAYED till 9:30AM. just to let the roads dry out a little more.

Let’s take a scenic ride through Eastport, Remsenburg and Westhampton Beach. The average pace will be between 14.0 and 14.5 mph. naturally, the road speed will be slightly higher to produce the average.

Around mile 21 we’ll stop at the Beach Bakery for some goodies and a bathroom break before heading back to the start. Who knows, we might see those Century Riders zooming by.
