*** POSTPONED UNTIL FRIDAY ***
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all!
It's been raining since last night and the forecast is for it to continue through later this morning, so I am postponing the ride until tomorrow, Friday.
===========================
Leave the Manorville King Kullen for a mellow spin out into the Pine Barrens, before we go to all those holiday festivities.
Lets keep the pace nice and even, so everyone can enjoy the ride. And of course we have to save some energy to finish wrapping all those last presents...
Join me for our usual comfortable ride through the Three Village area. Several stops to enjoy the views, maybe a deli stop depending on the group. Bring snacks just in case. Will cancel by 7:00 if weather is an issue. (Glen 631 241 2785 Cell)
The map for the Winter shop ride is linked . This route could change from week to week. Hopefully the section of Ryerson road leading to the Maples will be repaved so we can go back to using Ryerson/Silas Carter to get to the Maples. For now we take South st. to the end and go left on Chapman, up to 111 then to the Maples.
This ride is going to the Ridge Mcdonalds for our break. The average should come in at the high end of the B- pace. No one left behind. Any changes posted by 8:30 day of ride.
Quick out an back to Manorville. Everyone stays together. Rest stop at McDonalds to warm up. Please check the morning of the ride in case I make any changes.
Park in King Kullen lot in the area closest to Montauk Highway. We will travel thru Eastport, Remsenberg, and Westhampton Beach, with a short stretch on Dune Road, and ending in Quogue at our furthest point. There will be a stop at the Beach Bakery on the way back to Eastport. Average speed will be between 13-14mph, depending upon wind, temperature and rider ability. For information contact Bill Gravitz at 631-356-3036. Any changes will be posted on the website by 08:30am day of ride.
Work off some of the Christmas Cheer without getting up early. Easy 14mph ride through Remsenberg, Westhampton and Quogue. Stop at the bakery. My cell is 646-643-6856 Check here for any changes by 10AM
Let's take a nice, easy ride from Belmont Lake State Park (make a left after the guard's booth) via the bridle trail to the Town of Babylon Docks. We'll stop at the deli for some coffee or hot cocoa. So layer up and let's have fun while burning off some of those extra calories. See you on the trails! Feel free to call my cell at 631-793-8298 for any questions regarding the ride.
