NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

I plan on keeping a pace of 20 - 21 mph. There probably will be a faster group but I plan on keeping my group below 21. Thes roads are fast so 20+ is not that difficult. Also, Wading River Road and North Street have been paved.
Darren will be making cocktails and Brian Wolff will be serving. (Just want to see if anyone reads this).
Due to a street fair in Bellport on Saturday, ride start is changed to YAPHANK Firehouse.
Let's go to Smith Point. Stop at 7-11 prior to the beach if you want to pick up anything. Always check back for any changes or cancellations due to weather or other circumstances, which would be posted by 6am.
Hoping that it won't rain and we can get this ride in. Going out to Manorville on the beautifully newly paved roads. If it rains I will move this to Sunday so check the website for any changes by 6 am...
Mileage change, The ride could be as long as 35 miles. There will be a stop at McDonalds in Manorville, but you can still pick up something at the deli near the park. T-storms could cancel ride. Off to Wildwood with a deli stop just prior to the park. Wildwood has picnic tables and bathrooms. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 06:45am.
Here is an easy C pace ride from Ronkonkoma, down to Sayville, back up to Bohemia and around Romkonkoma back to the ride start. We are starting early so you can get back home in time for other activities - BBQ, baptism, beach, etc.
We will take a break at the bagel store on Lakeland Ave., where beverages, food, and a bathroom are available.
The ride will average between 11.3 and 11.9 and there will be cue sheets (once I get it written) and no one will be dropped.
We'll head out to Briermere Farms via Mill Road, and the northern roads through the fields leading to Briermere. We'll have a short stop at Briermere, so we can return home before any potential rainstorms.
The return takes us through Area 51, for an attack on the Col des Aliens. (A regroup at the top of the hill, will be expected...). Beware of aliens on carbon fiber bikes!
Bobke- Bob Roll, our favorite Tour de France commentator, and former Tour de France rider on a memorable Giro d'Italia:
Leaving the bank we will be heading to Heckscher Park for a quick loop and then head to Sayville. Please bring snacks and drinks this ride. The return trip to the bank will be mostly on Montauk Hwy.
