Leaving the Riverhead waterfront we ride along the North Shore of Peconic Bay, with scenic views of the Bay and a vineyard. We make a porta-potty (well maintained) stop at mile nine. At about mile 15 we stop at a deli in Cutchogue for a coffee, or snack, and a real indoor bathroom. We than head up North, passing farms and vineyards, and a view of the LI sound. Continuing East thru farmland, we than go South to Rt. 25 and head to Scoops and Grinds for ice cream or coffee which will be enjoyed in their shaded backyard, complete with picnic tables. If you are hungry, the adjacent Braun's seafood has a variety of soups and seafood wraps. Braun's has been around for ninety years, has 3 antique cars for viewing, and a tented shady area for eating. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 06:30am.

Join us as we travel scenic backroads thru the Stonybrook-Setauket area: historic places, great views, great sunsets, great folks. We are a diverse group out for an enjoyable ride and fun nite. There are places to stretch your legs ahead and wait ups after climbs. But please note this is not a "race ride". Apres ride dinner.
PLEASE - bring/use lights if you have them. This is likely the last ride at this later time...sunset is earlier and the roads we ride have lots of shady trees that add to the diminished daylight. We will have to skip some portion of the route given the daylight. Will likely cut out West Meadow Beach.
PARKING NOTE: School and work is back in full swing and parking may be tight at the RR lot. If you don't see a spot, exit the lot and go right. Park behind Sterling National Bank (just west of the RR lot and Quaker Path traffic light).
Check ride calendar for any changes or cancellations by 4:30pm the day of ride.
