Come along and see what the renown Kreb ride is all about ... Except for our 5 minute head start we'll tag-along Alley's tag-along of the Kreb ride as they do the North route. As they pass us feel free to carefully jump on the end of the line and hold on as long as you can. We will have hill top wait ups once we get to the top the E. Bartlett hill in Middle Island.
Be sure to check back Thursday evening after 9:30 PM ....

This ride will head into Manorville then onto Moriches where we will do some long scenic loops around the bay area. A break will be at Andersen's Deli in East Moriches. We will finish up the ride in Eastport, Remsenberg and West Hampton. We will try to keep the pace at about 16 mph.
I have to do a slower ride for a few days, so please join me for this C ride from Sayville to Patchogue, via some loops and new roads I was introduced to last week. We will stop at a the ferry dock in Patchogue for a bathroom break and a deli for a snack.
This is a structured ride which will average 11.5 - 12.0, depending on wind, riders, etc. There will be cue sheets and no one will be dropped.
NOTE: Park on the South Side of the train station.
Starting at the Yaphank fire house, join me on a leisurely ride through Brookhaven hamlet, Bellport (deli/rest stop) and East Patchogue before returning to the ride start. Leader will maintain sa 12-13 mph level ground cruising speed. No one will be dropped. Call me at 631 846-7825 if you have any questions. Any changes will be posted by 8 am.
October is the last month to ride Rocky Point trails before they close for hunting season until APRIL 2019!! So grease up your fat tire bikes, fill your camelbacks and come out for a fun ride. I plan to do the main trail which is approximately 13 miles. The group can decide if we will start with West Side loop of 4 miles to add on or do a couple of easy diamonds. As this is my first mountain bike ride this season, i won't be doing the majority of diamonds. This will be a warming back up to the trails ride. Pace will be moderate intermediate, no speed demons.
Bring snacks & plenty of fluids and plan to have fun. Bug (tick) spray is probably a good idea. While they are still active, i have not heard complaints of ticks from any of the folks i have spoken to about riding these trails over the summer.
This is DEC property so be sure to bring and display your permits.
**meet at parking area on Rocky Point Road just north of Whiskey Rd**
