Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Ride is cancelled as it looks like we'll be able to ride Saturday.
I'm posting this ride in case Saturday ends up as a rainy day since I can't ride Sunday. This ride, if it occurs, will go from Sayville to Bellport for our break. Check back for any cancellation which would be posted by 7 am.
(Intrepid Tag Along leader, Alley Gonzalez is still on hiatus, so instead: you have me).
This is the companion ride to the long-running Kreb Shop "A" Ride. We make every effort to keep both ride groups together, but if there is a split, we let the A ride go ahead. This week, we go East on the standard route to The Maples.
Please park your car in the Bellport Municipal Parking Lot located at Bellport Lane & Bell Street, and then ride bike half a block over to the Kreb Bike Shop parking lot at 10 Bell Street, to sign-in for ride and hear the pre-ride briefing.
We do scheduled wait-ups (and as necessary), in addition to one brief rest stop halfway through ride. Please bring adequate drinks and nutrition, as the rest stop occurs in a parking lot (no food/drinks/restrooms available).
Ride is on. If there appears to be a chance of light drizzle, we can change our destination so we are never too far from our cars. Off to Briermere's, with a brief stop to see the American Bison herd (if they are in the field closest to the road). On this past Sunday we stopped to watch the herd of Bison, some of the riders took pictures. If you want to share a pie, bring singles and change. The pies are running 20 dollars, ten dollars if we can get day old. We will need at least 4 pie eaters to split a pie. I will supply paper and plasticware. Brieremere's has bathrooms, and all types of really good baked goods if you are not a pie eater. Coffee, not tea, is available. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:30am.
Tour historic community, once the Vanderbilt estate in Oakdale, part of which became known as the Idle Hour Artist's Colony. Ride thru the Mews, original farm, homes along the canals, mansion (was Dowling College), the Connetquot River, views of the Bayard Cutting arboretum...and more! Meet at the southwest end of the Oakdale train station parking lot. Great ride for beginner, rehabing from injury, or just a nice spin on your bike.
