NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Longer version of Bill's TBC ride through Yaphank. Short pulls, cruise at +/-18 mph depending on terrain and conditions. We'll head to Yaphank to River Rd. and then pick up Bill's route, then Grumman Blvd. to Mill to Manorville. Return via Yaphank on Mill to Lincoln. Changes posted by 7 a.m.
We will doing a variety of loops in the Calverton area. By doing a variety of loops we will never be more than a few miles from our cars in the event of rain. Our break will be at Bean and Bagel. Join us on a leisurely ride to Smith Point with a short rest stop at the Wertheim preserve. There will be an optional stop at 7-11 for those who would like to pick up a beverage/snack to be taken to the beach. Leader will maintain 13-14 mph cruising speed. No one will be dropped. This is a B- ride with an average speed of 14.5 to 15 mph, road speeds may reach 17-18mph. Check the ride calender for any changes posted by 2:30pm day of ride.
Parking Lot on Greeley. Similar route to last ride with the addition of Idle Hour Loop. One short breather about 15 miles. Not a scenic tour of Sayville - a loop without many turns to get 25 miles in before dark. Lights recommended (just in case).
