Sorry, had to cancel as not enough interest ... I'll have to get the miles by riding some of them on at least one SBRA ride.
If you're interested in doing this ride PLEASE contact me as I think it will take at least four of us to do the work comfortably. Contact me via my cell # below or click on Stormnnorman above and use the contact email. If I don't hear from other riders I will cancel and probably do another ride.
Always check the posting before leaving for the ride as Life Happens and Things Change.
I couldn't do two rides at once last Saturday so Bernie was good enough to let me use his route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30037769 . I know many of the roads but haven't done this route so the more riders that load the ridewithgps the better ... my Garmin 820 has hung up in the past ;-( .
I've done an 80 miler on the Monday before the RR Century and not suffered a consequence but for some people it is better to begin tapering off the distance/effort before this date and riders should take that into consideration.
If you didn't get a chance to ride BBB, this is an opportunity to get some mileage in. Starting at Maples, we'll take a scenic bathroom stop at mile 18 at Cupsogue Beach, and a food break at the Beach Bakery mile 26. Bring snacks and water, sunscreen and whatever else you need to stay happy. I"ll aim for a mid range C+/B- average, depending on group and wind. Check the ride calendar for any changes, which will be posted by 8:00 AM, or call my cell.
