First click on the "ride title" to see a popup short description of the ride. Then click on the "popup ride title" to see a *** FULL DESCRIPTION *** of the ride details.
NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Join me for this C+/B- ride, which will average 13 - 13.6. We will be riding to East Islip, where we will take our break at the Timber Point Golf Course. Snacks and bathrooms are available. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Due to possible weather issues, the exact route will be determined the morning of the ride (thus, no cue sheets).
Park on the south side of the train station.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
NOTE #1: You must be a club member to go on club rides.
NOTE #2: rides at this time are limited to 6-8 riders. You MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
Sorry to cancel but I think too much debris will be in the roads and we have to deal with some large branches and a piece of tree that came down.
Watching the hurricane but if it's outta here by Wednesday we will ride. By now most of you know the covid rules but read them again if you are not sure. Please text, email or reply to this posting if you want to join this ride since it is limited to 8 people. Any questions, contact me. Stop in Bellport for our break, deli available.
Join me for this early evening 15-20 mile ride around Ronkonkoma and the surrounding areas. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. There should be plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time. PARK on the North side of the train station East of Main Terminal.
Newbies always welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets dropped. This will be a C pace ride, which will average 11–12 (possibly faster or slower, depending on who is on the ride). We will be observing social distancing, etc., and you must have a face-covering with you. This ride has been known to stop Ice Cream trucks.
Drove part of the route and there is too much debris on the roads to make it safe or enjoyable.
Number of riders is limited to 8; so to be included in any of my rides, you must text 631-331-5642 with your name, your SBRA #, along with cell and emergency #s. If I already have your details just tell me which ride you want to be included on.
I hope we can fit this in between the rain storms - make sure you check before coming on the ride, I'll post changes by 3:45pm
An early evening scenic ride in Setauket and the surrounding area. The ride classification takes into account the rolling hills route, there will be wait ups after climbs and opportunities to 'stretch your legs'. For those interested we often go to Green Cactus after the ride, where there is outdoor dining.
