NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Too many fast people are coming to my and Bernie's rides. We do not mind splitting the ride to accommodate you, but your speeds are coming in at 18+mph. Other fast riders that decide to stay with us often push the pace without realizing it. Today our "slow" group went up the longest hill of the ride at 19mph. Quite annoying to say the least on a B ride with a split for faster riders
In order to maintain my sanity, avoid whistling, stay pleasant and avoid the "Attitudes", I'm asking for Ride Leaders that have been attending to post along with me. We did this for a few years and it worked very well helping people move up ride levels safely.
I would LOVE a B ride start with a B/B+ and a B+ going out from the same place at the same time.
I'm not speaking for Bernie, but I think he would feel the same. Him and I could take turns during the week to go B/B+ with the other groups when we feel chipper. Our slower new riders would appreciate it also.
Off to Bean and Bagel, with its indoor bathrooms and outdoor tent and tables. To join the ride, text Bill G. @ 631-356-3036, with your SBRA, emergency and cell numbers, your full name, and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:15am.
We will be leaving the bank heading to Babylon. Our rest stop will be at the deli by the docks. This is a B- ride that will average around 15 mph with road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph. If you have any questions call or text Mike at 516 448-8545.
Be sure to bring water and sun screen as the weather is now getting hotter. For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 20-24 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be by before 8:00am. No need to text me.
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
Paek on south side of RR in lot across the street.
We'll ride through East Islip and head to the marina. There won't be a food stop so please pack enough drinks and a snack for during our break. The restrooms at the marina are open.
Please text me at 631-521-0688 if you intend on coming onto this ride.
Check back on this post for any changes or cancellation which will be made no later than 2:30 PM the day of the ride.
Join me for this evening ride from RONKONKOMA around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C, with a ride average between 11-12.5. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are starting at 5:45pm and will have plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
As always nobody gets left behind and newbies will be well taken care of. Any cancellation will be by 4:45pm. Park in the last lot East of the terminal.
