NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Warm up to the hills. 5 sections of hills with regrouping after each section. Quick ride back to the start. Anyone keeping the posted pace will not be dropped.
Too many fast people are coming to my and Bernie's rides. We do not mind splitting the ride to accommodate you, but your speeds are coming in at 18+mph. Other fast riders that decide to stay with us often push the pace without realizing it. Today our "slow" group went up the longest hill of the ride at 19mph. Quite annoying to say the least on a B ride with a split for faster riders
In order to maintain my sanity, avoid whistling, stay pleasant and avoid the "Attitudes", I'm asking for Ride Leaders that have been attending to post along with me. We did this for a few years and it worked very well helping people move up ride levels safely.
I would LOVE a B ride start with a B/B+ and a B+ going out from the same place at the same time.
I'm not speaking for Bernie, but I think he would feel the same. Him and I could take turns during the week to go B/B+ with the other groups when we feel chipper. Our slower new riders would appreciate it also.
Off to Smithpoint Beach, with real bathrooms at Smithpoint, and porta-pottie stops at Wertheim both coming and going. NOTE: This ride can be extended about 5 miles to include Osprey Point or Mother's Beach. Bring your own snacks and drinks, or we can stop at a 7-11 near the beach.
Gerry will lead this ride for me.This will be a slow C+ because of the heat and humidity. Come out and join me for this ride from Eastport King Kullen to West Hampton Bakery, where there are bathrooms available, as well as tasty delights no one left behind ever! Questions call or text cell phone 631-484-1650
We are making our way out to the Beach Bakery. We are going to keep a relaxed B/b+ pace so that we can enjoy the ride. Please text me your name and SBRA # so I can pre-sign you in before the ride. 631-747-3464 .
This ride will be a B- pace until we hit the hills, then it will be whatever pace you can do. No worries--there will be a wait-up after the hills. Our break will be at the golf course. You can purchase coffee and rolls, etc or bring your own snack. Cancellation or changes will be posted by 7:30am. Please text me if you plan to come on the ride and be sure to identify yourself, as I may not have you in my contacts. SIGN IN AT RIDE START.
I am repeating last night's ride, so come along and join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be an easy C+, with a ride average between 12.2 - 12.7. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are starting at 6 PM and will have plenty of daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.
