NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Ride starts at East Islip BOA and goes to Terrace Bagelry in Islip Terrace. This is a C+/B- ride, cruising at 15 to 16 mph to get an average of 13 to 14 mph. Any changes will be posted at least 90 minutes before the ride.
We will now be on the SOUTH SIDE of the Ronk train station near the Western end of the parking lot closest to Railroad Ave. Bring a snack and hydration. Route depends on riders ability, wind, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. As always newbies always well taken care of and no one gets dropped. Wheels down at posted time as "Daylights A Burnin" so get there 15 minutes before. Any cancellation will be by 9am. No need to text me, just "show n go". Ride average will range from 11.5-12.5mph for this 18-24 mile ride.
Coming from LIE take Ronkonkoma Ave. South, just over RR bridge make 3 right turns, parking is on right, corner of Railroad AVe and Ronkonkoma Ave.
Coming from Lakeland Ave. Sunrise Hwy., go North just pass Vets Hwy make right on Smithtown Ave (following alongside of airport), just before bridge make right on Railroad Ave, parking is on left side (go past one way entrance and make 1st available left into lot).
Join me for this morning ride from SAYVILLE to ?? This will be an easy C ride to loosen up the legs, and will average 11.0 - 11.5.
The exact route will be determined at the start. Wherever we go there will be a bathroom stop & a food break. Since nothing is certain until we start, there will not be a cue sheet for this ride.
We may go for a slice of pizza after the ride (personal expense).

I'm trying to get back in riding shape and will start with a C level and short milage. We're going mainly north-south to stay out of the wind. We'll average 10-11 mph. All are welcome. Call if you have any questions. Check back morning of for any changes by 8am.
Ride to Smith Point Beach. Moderate "B" pace due to forecasted wind projections. There will be sections where riders can stretch legs. No one gets dropped. Wait-up's as needed to keep group together.
