NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.
For Other Events in our area and off Long Island check out the "Other Rides & Events calendar" and the "Forums"

Off to Briermere's with a brief stop to view the Bison herd, if they are in a field near the road we are on. If you are interest in sharing a pie, bring $. Briermere's also has individually sized baked goods, as well as hot and cold drinks, picnic tables and indoor bathrooms. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 7:30am.
We will be doing a route to Patchogue. Think Woodside Ave, East direction only. I would like to come in between 13.8 and 14 mph., +/- a tad. Trying to build up distance and speed so all of us (if you want) can get back to riding a Low (14.5) B minus. In order to get this average we will be doing road speeds between 14.5 and 16 mph. Expect down hills to be faster. Things could change slightly due to the road conditions and the wind. Around Mile 16 we will stop at McDonalds to refuel. Help in pulling the ride would be appreciated, but not required.
If you have any questions or concerns, please text me at 631.484.3490. Should there be a cancellation or change, it will be posted by 7:30am.
Ride starts at Islip Bank of America and goes around the Islips. This is a C+/B- ride, cruising at 14 to 16 mph to get an average of 13 to 14 mph. Any changes will be posted at least 90 minutes before the ride.
Join me for this evening ride from SAYVILLE around the surrounding areas. This will be a C+ ride that will average 11.9 - 12.5. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there will not be a cue sheet for this ride. We are leaving promptly at 6:00 to ensure we have enough daylight, but it is recommended that you wear bright/reflective clothing and have working lights on your bike. Please be prompt getting to the ride start, so we may depart on time.
Park on the SOUTH side of the train station.
NOTE: I am limiting the number of riders. You MUST text me with your name & SBRA Member Number if you want to ride. I will return the text: YES, you have a spot…or…NO, Ride Filled...CELL #: 631-523-2129
