Filling in for Mel this Monday so lets do the Reverse 51 with Pleasure Drive. Rest stop at Wildwood Lake, wait up after Pleasure if needed. Hope to see you there!
Join me for this C+ ride, which will average 11.9 - 12.6; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will either head to Blue Point or to the Smith point Marina for our break; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
Off to Cedar Beach to Ralph's fishing station(mile 16), for a late breakfast and eat in with wonderful views all around.
A mid B- ride but can be slower or faster depending on who turns up! Fairly flat except for the hill down to and out of the beach but we will have a rest at the top of the hill and wait for everyone to catch up.
Rain forced me to cancel Friday so let's give it another try. Haven't led in quite awhile due to some surgeries, so, I honestly don't know what to expect of myself.
B- ride to McDonalds in Manorville. Pulls always appreciated.
SHORT -- GULP and GO Water stops: at least 2 going & 1 on way back; however, with this heat, we will stop as often as necessary especially if some riders cannot drink while they ride.
So for my comeback after being off the bike, I thought we'd spin out to Riverhead. We'll do a short stop at the bagel place, before we spin back home.
On the way out, we'll head north up Edwards Avenue, and then take Middle Road and Doctor's Path into Riverhead. After the stop, we'll head up Route 24 to Grumman Boulevard and back to the finish.
Your welcome to take a pull at the front, but please control your pace! We want to keep everyone together.
IF you haven't ridden with us, Now is your chance!
