For this Flat ride the Average speed is 11.5-12.5mph depending on riders, wind, tide, position of moon and leaders disposition with a distance of 18-23 miles. Nobody gets left behind and newbies always welcome and well taken care of. Any cancellation will be before 7:30am. No need to text me.
You can call this a low B- or a high C+/B- Either way, we have been doing both.
I think we should do a ride up to Middle Island today. We should come in with an average pace between 14.0 and 14.5 which is in the LOW B- area. In order to get this average the road speeds will be between 14.5 and 16.5 mph. Going downhill, or with the wind at your back will be faster. The main objective is to finish the ride without being too concerned about the average. The average will depend mainly on the wind, the hills, and who shows up. We will stay together and there will be one or two break-a-ways for those who want. Pulling is always appreciated
Around mile 12 we will take a break at a deli.
Any questions about this ride text me 631.484.3490. Cancellations due to whatever by 0730.

The old route through Stony Brook/Setauket. When we get to the hills, take whatever speed, fast or slow, and we'll meet at the top. Expect an average of 13+. No bathroom break, just a snack stop at the lighthouse. Any changes or cancellation will be posted by 7:30 morning of ride. New hill riders welcome.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 21 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15 mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.
