NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Smooth 51 mile cruise on the east end with a stop at MRB. This is longer than most are used to so expecting to come in on the low end of the A pace. Check the route.
Join me for this C ride from Calverton, where we will ride on the back roads around Manorville, then go up toward Wildwood. We will take our break at the deli outside the park, where tables and a bathroom are available. We will average 11.5 - 12.0, depending on the winds, etc. The exact route will be determined at the start, so there willnot be a cue sheet for this ride.

Ride the Four Peninsula rollars and hills of Three Village area, Setauket, Stony Brook and Old Field. Ride will head first to West Meadow/Trustees Road for a bathroom opportunity.
Country roads, rollers, hills and water views.
Ride should come in at a C+/B- pace, 13-14mph average, being slowed by rollers, hills and turns. At times we will be cruising in the 17+mph range.

We'll leave from the parking lot across from the Maples bar and head out on flat to rolling terrain roads that will take us to Riverhead. We'll have a quick stop at the bagel shop in Riverhead at around 22 miles in.
We'll return through some back roads behind Riverhead that lead us to Forge Road / South River Road. Then it's back to Grumman Boulevard and back to the finish.
We will be leaving Oakdale RR and head to Bellport and returning to Oakdale for a 30 mile ride. Our food/restroom break will be around mile 17 in Bellport. The ride will be at a (B - pace) with an average speed of around 14.5 mphand road speeds that will reach 16 to 18 mph.

We'll head from Sayville to Bayport to Blue Point, frequently taking advantage of the breeze off the bay. We'll stop at Corey beach for a bathroom break then off to Atlantic Ave Deli for a snack.Please bring water, and a spare tube.
