Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

This will be a LOW B- ride, which means we will be coming in with an average between 14 and 14.5. The route will be the usual Sunday route except we will go to Hecksher and do the short loop. We have be doing this when we were riding a C+/B- so you know you can do it. In order to get this average the road speeds will be between 14.5 and 16.5 mph. Going downhill, or with the wind at your back will be faster. The main objective is to finish the ride without being too concerned about the average. The average will depend mainly on the wind, the hills, and who shows up. We will stay together and there will be one or two break-a-ways for those who want. We wil l take a bathroom break in the park and a fuel stop at the bagle shop
Pulls are always appreciated. There will be GOOD STUFF after the ride.
If you have any questions or concerns please text me at 631.484.3490. Should there be a cancelation, or change it will be posted by 7:15am.
Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride - if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. At these speeds Pulling is Important ! I would like to keep the road speed between 17 - 19 mph and come in at an average Hi 15 and Lo 16. Cyclists coming with "E" bikes must stay at the end of the bike line. Good stuff after the rid
This is a scenic ride out East, with numerous views of water, farms and vineyards. Bring snacks and drinks for our scenic stops, and there will be a lunch along the way at a bagel or a seafood shack, both in the same parking lot. Mileage will be between 35-40, depending on our route. To join this ride, text Bill G. at 631-356-3036 with your full name and date of ride. Check the ride calendar the day of the ride for changes, which would be posted by 07:00am. Ride limited to 15 riders. Strong winds, high temperatures/humidity will definitely change the ride.
