NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

A fun place even for Begineers ... not too technical and not that much hard work! Probably the last time here for me this season ....
Text me at 631-988-6557 if you plan to ride with me and I will wait at the start if you're running late OTHERWISE if I don't hear from anyone, we may start early.
Check back to this posting before leaving for the ride as Life Happens and Things Change.
We'll take the north loop outbound and the south loop along Routes 105 and 24 on the return. In between, we'll have a stop at Briermere Farms for some recovery coffee and goodies.
Let's park at the back of the lot, near the tracks so we don't bother the bar patrons...
This C+ ride of 18-25 miles will average 11.5-12.5mph. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.
I am just getting back to riding, so this will be an easy C ride around Center Moriches, that will average 11 - 11.5 and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Since the exact route will be determined as we go along, there will not be a cue sheet.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride you must text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
MEETING LOCATION: straight back from Wendy's and Dunkin Donuts, on the EAST SIDE of the shopping center.
Riders should arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready.
It is supposed to be windy so please check before leaving for the ride for any changes. I am posting a B but the effort will be more of a B/B+ due to wind/gusts.
This ride is about getting into shape for ride to Montauk. I'll try to keep us out of the wind. Everyone is welcome. Check day of by 8:15 am for any changes.
