Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Super Hilly Sunday. This will be a B+/A- effort. We will have wait ups at the top of cordwood and at the top of farm Road. Plan for some fast speeds on the downhill and slow to pace uphills. Both cordwood and Farm Road are about a half a mile long each with significant climbing.
This is a copy of an Old SBRA Route and I changed Start Location to St James General Store
Going to Great River. I would like to come in between 14.8 and 14.9 mph +/- a tad. In order to get this average we will be doing road speeds between 15.0 and 16.5 mph. Expect down hills and wind at your back to be faster. We will take a break at the bagel shop about mile 20. Things could change slightly due to road conditions and wind direction.Pulling is always appreciated. Back by popular demand -GOOD STUFF AFTER THE RIDE.
If you have any questions, or concerns please text me at 631.484.3490. Should there be a cancelation or change it will be posted by 7:15am.
We will go the usual route heading south using the connetquot park bike path. We'll work our way down to Heckscher Park. I would like to keep the road speeds 15-18 mph and come in at an average 15 and 15.9. Pulls are always Appreciated.Good Stuff after the ride.
We will be leaving the bank heading to Babylon. There will be a quick break at the Docks. So, please bring your snack. This is a B- ride that will average around 14.5 - 15 mph with road speeds that will reach 16 to 19 mph.
Join me for this will be a C+ ride, which will average 11.5 - 12.5, partly depending on the winds, the riders, etc. We will ride part of Dune Road (direction determined by the winds that day) and then take our break in Westhampton at the pocket park near the Beach Bakery, where bathrooms and food are available. Bring snack/hydration as route depends on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition. Newbies welcome and well taken care of and nobody gets left behind. Any cancellation will be by 8:30am. No need to text, email, phone, send message by carrier pidgeon or smoke signal me. Just show up 15-20 minutes before ride start to get your s**t together.
Join me for this C ride, which will average 11.2 - 11.7; no one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Ride route will be determined by the road conditions; decision to be made the morning of the ride; no cue sheets. We will either head to Blue Point or to the Smith Point Marina for our break; there will be a bathroom stop.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
