***No A ride at this location. A Rides happen at Kreb Eastport location, same day & time***
Remember the Allison Gonzalez Tag-A-Long Kreb ride of days past??THIS IS IT. This is the B+ Kreb ride to The Maples. Pace is UP TO 18.9 avg at end (which means cruising to 21mph on the flats).
No sprints on Victory or anywhere else; group stays together.
NO SWEEP ON THIS RIDE!!! Wait-ups within reason. If this is your first B+ ride, bring a friend along & please also download the route to your GPS device.
Park in municipal lot then cruise over to bike shop at 10 Bell St to sign in, use restroom if needed & start ride. Any questions, please text me.
This will be an easy C+ ride around Center Moriches, that will average 11.8 - 12.5 and will be taking our break at Nettie's. There are some very nice water views along the way. No one gets dropped and we will be observing spacing rules, etc. Since the exact route will be determined as we go along, there will not be a cue sheet.
The number of riders is limited, so if you want to ride, text me (631-523-2129) with your SBRA Member Number and Emergency Contact phone number. I will respond to your text and let you know if you have a spot on the ride. Once the ride is filled, I will change to post to indicate that.
MEETING LOCATION: straight back from Wendy's and Dunkin Donuts, on the EAST SIDE of the shopping center.
Riders should arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride start, to allow enough time for me to get everyone signed in and to "get yourself" ready
If I don't hear from anyone, I will leave from home -- so please be sure to text that you're coming, with your SBRA number and emergency phone number. My cell: 631-835-1454.
This ride is 32 miles of pretty flat, going to Coram, plus 4 miles of hills: going UP Ashton, a toughie (wait-ups, no problem) followed by the rollers on West Bartlett and a break at the Springlake Golf Course. Please note: we will be on Rte. 25 for about a half mile. There is a wide shoulder.
I’ll cruise at a low C+ of 13 or so.
Any changes or cancellation will be posted no later than 7:30 morning of ride.
NOTE the 9:00 AM start at the lot across from The Maples! We're starting a little later, to allow the temperature to warm-up. Due to cooler conditions, we'll do this at around a B/B+ pace...and this will be paceline ride.
This time around, we'll have an extended edition of the scenicroute out to Westhampton Beach (WHB) and Quogue. We'll extend the ride out east on Dune Road all the way to Ponquogue Beach (at yourown pace), where we'll have a short stop and then turn around.
The details:The ride starts with a taste of Mill Road and Hot Water Street, to get those legs warmed-up. Then we'll do the descent past The Shrine, before we do part of Old Country Road and head down through Remsenberg to Westhampton Beach.
After a quick rest stop in Westhampton Beach, we head out to Quogue and pick up Dune Road for points East. We'll then loop back through WHB with a possible bakery stop, before we head up the Casa Basso and back around Eastport to the Manorville finish.
