    Whey Protein Concentrate at Costco

If you use a Whey Protein drink or a recovery drink after a ride you might be interested in knowing that Costco has a terrific Whey Protein Isolate Drink for a great price.

Whey protein drinks come in two varieties, a Whey Protein Drink and a Whey Protein Isolate. Generally Whey Protein Isolate is almost pure protein and highly absorbable. Supposedly it is 99% absorbed. And the price is much higher than ordinary Whey Protein. Hammer sells 2 pounds for about $34. Even so some people consider it a better value because of the difference in absorption. Costco sells 3 pounds for $24, about half the price of Hammer.

I have gone through two 3-pound jars and like it a lot. It has a very clean taste and refrigerates well.

It only seems to be available in the Holbrooke store, however. It is not available in Nesconset.

I don't own stock in Costco but do have an ulterior motive. The more popular an item is the more likely it is that they will continue to carry it. If you do use Whey you might want to give this product a try.
