NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Rolling hills through Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, St James and Stony Brook. Return through SUNY Stony Brook. Once leaving Port Jeff there are only a few hills on the way back. Ride may be shortened if weather looks like it will deteriorate fast. Destination may become Stony Brook with food stop at Fratellis Deli stop in Port Jeff
We will go to Manorville with the extended Mill Hill Loop. Our stop will be at McDonalds for our break. We all stay together as a group. Please check the morning of the ride for any changes.
Sayville to Smith's Point A summer south shore ride to take a look at the ocean. Moderate B pace. No one will be left behind. We will have a snack stop at Smith's point. Bring a snack or buy one at the 7-11 a few miles before Smith's point. There are multiple opportunities for P breaks. 42 miles direct route to the Beach
The Ride and Location has changed. This was the Great River 28 ride scheduled for Sunday 8/7/2016. That ride was cancelled, moved and renamed.
We will be going to Manorville … The average pace for the ride will be between 14.5 to 15.0 mph. naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -16.5 mph.) to produce the average. A rest/ food stop at Mc Donald’s or the bagel shop is scheduled about mile 12 to 14. Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations which will be posted no later than 7:30am if necessary. Have to be back for a social event so this will only be 20 miles today. This ride should average 11.5 - 12.7 (depending on the wind, tide, position of the moon, as fast as the slowest riders, etc.), NO ONE LEFT BEHIND, NEWBIES ALWAYS WELCOME. Check ride calendar by 8:00am for any cancellations.
PLEASE NOTE: This ride leaves from the NORTH side of the RR Tracks and we are meeting in the parking lot EAST of the train station.
This ride will head to Nassau point. Along the way are very pleasing water views. We'll stop at a deli on the way back. We'll do a relaxing pace around 14-15mph. Check back day of for any changes by 7:30am. Park behind twin forks bicycle store.
Leave the Manorville King Kullen for a trip out to Briermere Farms. We'll take a trip through Area 51 and ride along the river, on our way to Briermere.
