NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Join us for a steady A paced century from Manorville to Orient Point. Although this is listed as an unstructured A ride the group will work together and maintain a steady A pace the entire ride with no surging. Every effort will be made to keep the group together.
After a few miles in Calverton, we will head to Route 51 and then ride south, go the distance on Dune Road to the Ponquogue Bridge with a stop at the Hamlet (Green Door) Avenue, up to Quogue Wildlife Sanctuary, west to Moriches and back north to Manorville. There will be seveal drink and go stops.

This morning we are going to take a ride through Bellport and Patchogue stopping for a break at Mickey D’s around mile 20. The average pace will be between 14.5 to 15.0 mph depending on the roads, wind direction, dew point, and other conditions. Naturally, the road speed will be higher (15 -17.0 mph.) to produce the average. There will be the usual places for leg stretches for those who wish. Depending on the wind and the route back we might be adding a mile or two.
