NOTE:
Under the Ride Level details, the "Type: Road Bike" refers to the ride will be on paved roads (rather then off road trails). Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Another 105 Century, this time out to Greenport on the North Fork. We'll use co-leader Jim Drago's route and hope for great weather. Steady A paced ride, we stay together and ride as a team for best effiency. Please review and/or upload the route.
Steady pace line work. This will NOT be the usual hammer fest 41. Need to save some for the hill ride. One quick stop and one wait up, if necessary at the top of 51.
Off to the preserve with 3 miles on Dune Road and a break at the Beach Bakery. There will be several scenic stops in Quogue. For info: contact Bill G. at 631-356-3036. Check ride calendar for any changes, which would be posted by 7:00am day of ride.
Join me for an nice early, easy ride from Sayville to Patchogue. There will be cue sheets; we will have a bathroom break; and we will make a deli stop in Patchogue for a snack/break.
I'm changing the classification to B- because we do B- on the flats. Hills are up to your ability -- no push from the leader. Depending on how strong you are on hills, you may have an average around 14. We regroup after the hills.
Today's ride will take us into Strong's Neck and then to the Old Field lighthouse. From there, our usual ride to Trustees Road, the beach for our break (bring your own snack) and Nicolls Road.

THE FOCUS OF THE RIDE IS TO IMPROVE YOUR SKILLS. IT IS A TRAINING RIDE, NOT A RACE FROM POINT TO POINT.
This is a weekly ride for those interested in strengthening their hill climbing. Each week there will be an increase in the difficulty as riders get stronger. During the hill portion of the ride, there will be no sweep; however, there will be frequent wait ups, and no one will be dropped.
A word about the ride level. It's listed as a B-; however, that will be dependent on the weather and the ability of those who show up.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 20 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 17mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 3:00pm day of the ride.

As this is an after work ride wheels have to be down at 5:30 SHARP. Be ready to ride at the posted time as DAYLIGHTS A BURNIN! Depending on wind, tide, position of moon and ride leaders disposition we will ride approx. 18-20 miles at an 10.7-11.7 average speed. As always newbies always welcome and NOBODY gets left behind. So get off your butt, tell your boss you're sick (of work) and lets ride for some exercise. Cancellation for any reason will be posted by 4:15PM. Cookies at the rides end?
