Join me for an easy ride from Yaphank to the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, where we will take a break. There is no food sold there, so bring a snack with you or we'll make a quick stop at the deli on Montauk Hwy. This is a C ride, which will average 11.8 - 12.0, with cue sheets.
I'll be at ride start. My plan is to shorten ride and change up route to get in a few hills but be back 11 or before. It's not supposed to be raining until then!!
I will be doing C+/B- on the flats due to a shoe issue. Feel free to do 16-18 on the hills. ☺️
We'll do the basic "plus": Old Field lighthouse and down Trustees Road at the beach. Beach will be a snack (bring your own) and bathroom stop. We'll do C+/B- on the flats and whatever we individually can on the hills. Changes or cancellations posted no later than 7:30. Questions before ride, please email me at [frchtchr@hotmail.comhttps://www.sbraweb.org/sites/all/modules/extlink/extlink_s.png) -20px center no-repeat; width: 10px; height: 10px; padding-right: 12px;">(link sends e-mail)]. Day of ride, my cell is 631-835-1454.
This will be a little neighborhood ride around Holbrook. It would be perfect for those who would like to take a break and go a littler slower,or anyone who would like to join me after a hard weekend ride or a hill ride. The average pace for this ride will be between 13.0 & 14.0 mph; naturally the road speed will be higher to produce the average. We can all go for coffee and a bagel just before the end of the ride and chat if you want.
Any cancellation due to weather or any other circumstance will be posted no later than 7:30am if necessary. If you have question about the ride or the start location please call or text me 631.567.0384…Thanks Bobby
WILL BE AT JACKSON HALL AT 5:15 / 5:30. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 20 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 17mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 3:00pm day of ride.
If you have any questions concerning this ride, call Mike at 516 448-8545.
