Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

1) You must be an SBRA member to attend these rides. It’s only $20…
2) My routes are very complicated. If you have a bike computer that is capable of turn by turn navigation, do your friends a favor and load the route. If you don’t, and get lost, you can only blame yourself.
3) These routes are designed to teach you how to conserve at the beginning, so you will be strong at the end. If you attack the early hills, then crack and get dropped later, no one will feel sorry for you.
4) I will lead these rides, climbing at around 3-3.5 Watts/Kg in general. On the steep stuff, I’ll keep it as low as possible with a 34/28. If you think this is an interval workout, you’re mistaken. If we all ride tempo, we shouldn’t have to regroup too often.
5) The group which I am in, is the main group. If you go up the road, you best know the route because your on your own.
This ride is 62 miles with 3700 feet of climbing. The route is "Tilda's to Nissequogue" in the SBRA Route Folder. There is also a link below. There will be a water and restoom break at Westmeadow Beach at mile 20 and in Setauket around mile 48.
A shorter ride before Sunday's longer ride Please check the route before you arrive as it is new. The shop may have a slightly slower group trailing this group.
Join us for Rons BBB. Bike Beach Brew ride. We start in Patchogue and go to Smiths Point Beach and then back to the start. Thats the Bike and Beach part. Any one that wants to participate in the Brew part can go to the Blue Point Brewery for snacks and Beer of course. There are many of us that do not drink but we do love to see our freinds and catch up so we go to the Brewery anyway. There is a deli accross the street if you want to bring a sandwich over and sometimes there is a food truck that has burgers. You can bring chips , salsa, cheese and crackers or whatever you want to snack on and they don't mind.
You do not have to go to the Brewery to do this ride. That is optional at the end of the ride!
This is the other BBB ride (Bike-Beach-Brew) at a slightly slower pace. Riders will have the opportunity to "stretch their legs" at certain points but we'll ride as a group. No one gets dropped. Route will begin in Patchogue at Shorefront Park and we'll head to Smith Point Beach for a quick rest stop. Northern route for the return trip to Patchogue (Victory / Woodside).
After the ride we'll head to Blue Point Brewery where we'll meet up with other SBRA groups participating in this annual get together. Lots of fun.
We'll be joining the other groups leaving Shorefront Park in Patchogue, since the new brewery may not be open yet, and then going to the brewary after the ride. Come for the ride and/or come for the social aspect of the club (no drinking required). Bring a change of clothes for after the ride and munchies will be also be most appreciated ;).
If we go to the old brewery location, there may be a food truck available and there is a deli across the street. If it is the new brewery, they will most likely have food there.
Any food and/or brew costs are at personal expense.
This ride will most likely be going to Holtsville Ecology Center for break, so bring a snack and drink for the quick stop. We will see a "beach" either in Sayville or Bellport.
Check out the other ride posts for additional details.

Newbies always welcome and well taken care of and as always nobody left behind. Any cancellation by 8am.
Please meet me at Bellport Municipal Lot for a relaxed ride to Sayville (Main Street), there will be a few options for the break, i.e., Dunkin donuts, starbucks...just to name a few. We'll continue to Oakdale and turn around onto Montauk Highway for the return trip.
In order to get a nice smooth ride, please check/air up your tires; bring a spare tube/c02 cartridge along with the mandatory helmet.
Easy C ride will be adjusted to the slowest rider rest stop at Briermere Farms. Might add a few extra miles will depend on group? Questions call or text my cell 631-484-1650.
