Check back tomorrow morning at 7:45. By then, I’ll have a good idea of the weather through noon. If the storms start at 11, as indicated now, we’ll at least get in Hollow and Nicolls Rd.
Get your hill practice served many different ways by the hills of the Three Villages. Our break is at the Oldfield lighthouse; bring your own snack. There is no bathroom stop on this ride. On the non-hills, we expect to cruise at 13-15mph. On the hills, each does his/her own best effort and we meet at the top — no pressure there. There are spots where faster riders can push ahead.
Prior to day of ride, my email is [frchtchr@hotmail.com]. Morning of ride, my cell is 631-835-1454. Cancellation for weather no later than 8am morning of ride.

Sorry for the indecision ... There'll be other sunny days ... check back before next Tuesday as Hava wants to ride!
Note at noon: Always the Optimist ... At 2 PM (before I have to pick up Hava) I will revisit the upcoming forecast and may cancel) ... right now the clouds have a light break from 3 to 5:30 and the forecast chance of rain in Calverton <50%.
Note: There's a good chance this ride will be cancelled due to weather .... check back @ noon on Tuesday to see if the ride is still on.
Hava and I will be circumventing the EPCAL property on the bike path. Depending who shows we might add a mile or two up and down River Road to visit the Louie th Llama.
Be sure to check this posting again!
Running late? Just call my cell ... we'll be patient.
We will be leaving Bank of America and head to Great River and East Islip for a 22 mile ride. The ride will be at a B- pace with an average speed of around 14.5 to 15mph and road speeds that will reach 16 to 18mph.
Changes or cancelation will be posted by 2:30pm day of ride.

Route TBD but will most likely include a loop or two of the Heckscher bike path and a stop at Islip Beach. Cancellation for any reason will be posted by 3PM.
ALTHOUGH THE WEATHER LOOKS CLEAR FROM 1 TO 5PM THE RADAR SHOWS HEAVY RAIN FROM 6PM-9PM THEREFORE RIDE IS CANCELED.
