Although a Road Bike is suggested for Road Bike Type rides it is not required. Hybrid and mountain bikes can be used on these rides as well provided you are comfortable with the pace outline in the Posted Ride. This ride calendar is for club rides, club meetings, club event posts and shop rides only.

Sunday change up! We will be heading out to Kings Park where we will take a quick break.
This is a B ride with an average pace between 15 to 16 mph+/-, depending on the road conditions and wind direction. The road speed will be between 17 and 19 mph.
Please check the ride calendar for any weather, or last minute cancellations, which will be posted no later than 6:30 am if necessary. My cell number is 347-677-4164; call or text anytime if you have questions about the ride or need directions to the start location.
East Islip BoA to the famous Copenhagen Bakery in Northport where we will have our food/rest stop. This ride is posted as a B/B+ due to effort required for some of the hills, however, average speed will come in more like a "B" level ride. We will cover the Vanderbilt rollers as well as the hills in Northport, Fort Solonga, Kings Park and Smithtown. These hills are very managable - nothing crazy.
No one gets dropped. Wait-up's at the top of each hill. Water breaks as needed.
Please call my cell number below if you have any questions.
Ride was shortened to 38 miles and we'll leave from Sunshine Mall and go to Grumman Blvd. Since the ride is shorter, I do not have a formal stop for a break so please bring sufficient snacks and fluids. However, if anyone is in need, we can make a stop at the Handy Pantry on Moriches Middle Island Rd (27 miles in).
Sprint section on William Floyd Pkwy heading south to Victory. We will regroup in the lot as you make the turn onto Victory.
Our riding speeds will be between 18-21 mph outside of hills and winds. We will keep the group together and will probably come in on the lower end of the average speed range for A-.
We will roll out and head to Oakdale and head north to the bike path' Then head up to the deli for our food break. Then we will head down to Gardner Park where we could take a bathroom break. From there we will head to Brightwaters and circle the lakes before heading back.
Today's’ route to Great River will change up a bit towards the end of the ride, if the wind is in our favor; making this route pretty flat except for 2 overpasses. We will go the usual route heading south using the Connetquot Park bike bath. We’ll work our way down to Heckscher Park, do a loop where one can stretch the legs a bit if desired. The average pace for this ride will be between 14.5 & 15.0 +/- mph, or what conditions allow. The road speed will be between 15 and 17.0 mph, or slower if needed for safety concerns.
Please DO NOT PARK in the Meat Farms parking lot. Use the west side of the bank if the east side is full. Thanks!
We’ll be making a rest stop around mile 19 at the deli/bakery. The route back will be determined by the wind direction. Good Stuff after the Ride. Not sure what good stuff; it's always a surprise.
Any cancellations due to unforeseeable circumstances, or weather related problems will be posted by 7:30am. If you have any questions about this ride, or the start location, please call or text my cell, 631-484-3490.
Gerry will lead this ride and I'll follow. LOL We'll leave after Bobby's ride leaves. This is a C+ pace from the bank thru Ronkonkoma to the bike path to the bagel shop for our break. Maybe we'll meet Bobby's ride there, if not back at the parking lot. Any changes no later than 8:00am
Rida around Oakdale area at a 10.5-11.5 pace. Bring water, a snack and sunscreen as ride stop is not determined until departure, depending on wind direction and ride leaders disposition. As always newbies more than welcome and well taken care of. Nobody gets dropped and any cancellation will be by 8:30am. If you're nice maybe we'll stop and I'll buy you a bagel.
just wanted to say that our break at Netties will be near the end of the ride so bring a little snack if you need something before then. Mileage will still be 18-20 miles.
Park in the lot south of Wendys by the RR tracks. I'm not sure of the exact route and mileage so I will update it if it's significantly different from 20 miles. Rest stop at Nettie's Bakery (yum!). Always check back for changes which would be posted by 9 am.
